Daffodils & Narcissi

Narcissi and Daffodils are ideal for beautiful cut flowers and are very easy to grow.  They can grow in the garden for many years in the same location.

Because they are so easy to grow, one sometimes expects too much from the bulb, such as planting in an area that is shady, omitting fertilizer, and cutting the leaves too soon. This will cause the bulb to produce smaller flowers and finally, only leaves will appear, but no flowers.

The bulbs should be planted 5-6” deep, and 5-6” apart. They thrive in full sun, but will also tolerate partial shade. If you live in an especially cold climate, we recommend you cover your bulbs with a layer of straw of peat.  Remove this at the first signs of growth in the spring.
